Integrated
Supply Programs
Integrated
Supply meets the needs of those customers wishing to focus internal
resources on their core competencies while relying on suppliers
like WESCO, to streamline and manage their processes for procuring,
inventorying, and disbursing materials that support OEM, MRO,
or plant construction requirements.
As
its name implies, Integrated Supply is characterized by an integration
of WESCO's personnel, distribution expertise, technology, and
services with complementary resources and service requirements
of the customer. WESCO also integrates its product scope and service
capabilities with those of non-competing distributors (e.g., pipes,
valves, fittings; bearings, power transmission products, and safety
supplies), to provide "one-stop shopping" and
the elimination of redundancies in processes, services, and supply
transactions.
Most
customers expect a mix of the following performance objectives from
an Integrated Supply relationship with WESCO. These may include:
- reduced MRO costs
(typically over 10% of MRO spend).
- reduction in the
vendor base.
- reductions in inventory
investment.
- streamlining of
supply management functions through the use of electronic technologies.
- elimination of redundancies
in the supply chain.
- outsourcing of traditional
materials management and logistics functions.
- acceleration in
construction and capital improvement projects.
- increase in process
efficiencies with a corresponding decrease in process or transaction
costs.
WESCO
has developed numerous Integrated
Supply relationships throughout North America, successfully providing
these and other benefits
to a variety of customers and industries. Each integrated supply
solution
is customized to meet the specific needs of the customer. Contact
