The WESCO Process

Effective Implementation of New Agreements

Fast implementations are important. The faster the launch of a new agreement, the sooner you can capture savings opportunities. WESCO's implementation plan includes steps to jointly manage teams at the national and local level to prioritize activities, identify key performance metrics, and track progress against objectives. Rollout packages clearly communicate schedules and objectives and assign roles and responsibilities to key individuals tasked with producing superior results. Dedicated WESCO personnel lead the effort to create positive working relationships between each of your locations and their servicing WESCO Branch.

Implementation Team Structure

Transition Teams

WESCO utilizes “National Implementation Team” (NIT) and “Local Implementation Teams” (LIT’s) to facilitate rapid problem resolution, and to encourage the sharing of best practices. These teams become the cornerstones of communication for on-going management of the relationship.

The team concept is structured so that each site will have a separate and distinct implementation team. These teams will get their start and principal support moving forward from the core team (i.e. National Implementation Team).

Team membership be made up of both WESCO and your personnel.

Plan Execution

Once the teams are established, the NIT will conduct a kick-off meeting to communicate the plan structure. This will give this group a chance to adjust the general WESCO plan to reflect your particular needs. As the master plan becomes customized, it is then rolled out to your plants via a LIT meeting at the respective sites.

At the plant level, each LIT prepares a 30-day checklist as a tool to launch the relationship. This checklist serves as a means to identify and organize tasks; it also serves as a vehicle to establish a positive and productive working relationship between local customer plants and their servicing WESCO branches.

Moving forward in the process, a 90-day plan helps us to set priorities and assign responsibilities for tasks leading to full implementation.

Particularly during the implementation phase, LIT teams meet frequently to discuss progress against objectives, resolve problems, and focus on new opportunities.

While WESCO has experienced a high degree of success with the rollout of our transition plans, we expect that issues and problems will arise. The key is to communicate openly to quickly identify and resolve problems.
