WESCO Distribution has a long and distinguished heritage of service that extends back over eight decades. WESCO was formed by Westinghouse Electric Company in 1922 with the purpose of selling and distributing Westinghouse manufactured products. Operating as part of the Westinghouse organization, WESCO prospered and grew to be a well-known and trusted source of electrical products throughout North American industry.

Over the years, the focus of Westinghouse's business has changed and the corporation has divested many of its electrical manufacturing divisions. Today, WESCO is a publicly traded, Fortune 500 company with significant management and employee ownership.
